Today we will learn a little more about the main works of Classical Literature, the Greek, Roman, and Portuguese epics in six works: 1) The Iliad, by Homer; 2) The Odyssey, by Homer; 3) The Aeneid, by Virgil; 4) Prosopopeia, by Bento Teixeira; 5) O Uraguai, by Basílio da Gama; and 6) Caramuru, by Santa Rita Durão. And Os Lusíadas, by Camões? This will be the responsibility of you, dear students, to interpret for the next class, in 20 exercises on the first two stanzas of the epic that built the Portuguese Language!
