From his emergence on the Mexican scene with leather, long hair, and profound lyrics, to his consolidation as a producer and composer, Brizuela revisited his life, marked by marriages, children, exile, and loss, always returning to the essential: music as a refuge, as a profession, and as a legacy. His new album includes a powerful duet with Alex Lora titled "La mitad de un corazón" (Half a Heart), a blues track that recaptures the raw emotion of the genre in an industry saturated with immediacy and sonic emptiness. The Argentine singer-songwriter reflected on the crisis of content in contemporary music, defending lyrics, harmony, and handcrafted production as pillars of sonic art. He criticized the impersonal music industry that produces “700 soulless singles a week” and called on new generations to connect with the history, discipline, and essence of music. Brizuela will perform on December 6 at La Maraka and promised a concert featuring revamped classics and unreleased tracks. “I searched for who I was in everyone… and I stayed as I am: like no one else,” he declared, with the voice of someone who has lived to sing.
