The achievement-based selection system for the Central Java State Senior High School and Vocational High School (SPMB) for the 2026/2027 academic year is based on the Final Grade (NA) calculation, which combines academic and non-academic aspects. 1. Assessment Formula (Final Grade) The selection system uses a special formula to determine each prospective student's score: NA = (50% x NRR) + (50% x NRTKA) + NK + NO NRR (Average Report Card Grade): Taken from the average grades of seven core subjects (Religion, Civics, Indonesian, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, and English) from semesters 1 to 5. NRTKA (Average TKA Grade): Taken from the results of the Junior High School/equivalent Academic Ability Test. NK (Championship Grade): Additional points from the highest achievement certificates held, both tiered (such as OSN, O2SN, FLS2N) and non-tiered (which have been curated). NO (Organizational Value): An additional 0.75 point value is awarded specifically to prospective students who have served as the Chairperson of an organization (OSIS/OSIM), Student Representative Council (MPK), or Scouting (Pramuka/Hizbul Wathan). 2. Achievement Pathway Ranking Method Prospective students will be ranked based on their Final Grade (NA) from highest to lowest, according to the available quotas in each educational unit. State High Schools: The achievement pathway quota is at least 30% of the capacity. State Vocational High Schools: The achievement pathway is the main pathway with a quota of at least 75% of the capacity. Specifically for vocational high schools with arts programs, selection also involves a practical interest/talent exam with a maximum quota of 50% of the capacity. 3. What If There Are Equal Grades (NA)? If several prospective students have the same Final Grade (NA) at the final quota limit, priority will be determined based on the following rules: For Public High Schools: Priority will be given to the prospective student whose age is older, based on their Birth Certificate or Birth Certificate. For Public Vocational High Schools: Priority will be given based on the distance from their nearest residence to the school (for those residing in the same district/city or province as the school). If the distance is still the same, priority will be given to the prospective student whose age is older.
