The heritage of the Aysén region is not confined to museum walls or official decrees; it is sustained by the daily lives of its inhabitants, the knowledge of its shipwrights, and the memories of the settler families. With this in mind, the region is preparing for another edition of Heritage Weekend, an event that this year stands out for its unprecedented participation: activities registered in all ten municipalities of the territory. In a conversation on the program "Por Pavimentar" on Radio 45 Sur, the Regional Secretary of Culture, Arts, and Heritage, Sergio Becerra, along with Claudia Poveda, an anthropologist from the Aysén Heritage Service, analyzed the profound meaning of this celebration, which has evolved from a day of institutional guided tours into a genuine festival of community engagement.
