The Dawn Brigade is very okay, and I'll prove it. [Commentated] FE10 HM 0% growths chapter 3-6

This is chapter 3-6 of my FE10 HM 0% growths playthrough, commentated by Original_Raisins and me. It is completed in 7 turns. There's so much to talk about in this chapter that we couldn't fit it all into commentary. First, the Dawn Brigade gets some free weapons in their convoy at the start of this chapter (some Steel-tier weapons, an Ellight, a Mend, a Short Spear, and a Short Axe). This is all cool, but it's just much-needed free money. Next, on the enemies: the way that generic laguz work in FE10 is that their strike ranks depend on their levels. Once they hit level 15, then they gain S rank strike; laguz below level 15 have A rank strike. On hard mode, there are a smattering of level 14 cats and tigers (such as the cat that did 6 damage to Zihark), but the vast majority of enemies are levels 15-17. On normal mode, enemies are 2 levels lower than on hard mode, so the opposite case occurs, where there are a smattering of level 15 cats and tigers, but the vast majority of enemies have A rank strike. This is why the map feels so much more brutal on hard mode, because enemies have +2 levels of stats in addition to +5 atk almost across the board. Last, on the units: if I were to re-do this playthrough, probably the biggest change that I would make is to have Zihark promote on turn 4 rather than on turn 2. This does mean that he has to sustain a few more rounds of combat where he is working with ~80 crit instead of ~91 crit on the enemies, but there are 2 reasons why I think this is preferable. 1) It obviates 2 of the 3 stat checks that I make on turn 2, which caused nearly all of the resets on this map. This compensates for any resets due to Zihark's lower crit rates. 2) It frees up Paragon in 1-E for Ilyana to ship to the GMs, which can likely end up saving a Master Crown. Something that you might have noticed but that we didn't comment on is that Sothe is actually dependent on the Micaiah support to guarantee 2HKOing transformed tigers and untransformed cats. In fact, not only would a maxed transfers Sothe 2HKO tigers without supports, but he would even be able to survive 2 hits from the strongest 39 atk tigers in this chapter. Without transfers, Jill's durability is kind of a lost cause, but with transfers she can get to a point where she can survive cat + tiger and play a lot more of an active role in this chapter. Stat checks in 3-6 (after Laura uses Torch on turn 2): Tiger L17: Rolls 13 [26] str and not lower - pretty likely Cat L17: Rolls 9 [18] str and not lower - very unlikely Tiger L16: Rolls 8 [16] spd and not higher - somewhat unlikely Zihark needs the L17 tiger and cat to high-roll str so he can stay in Wrath range.
