Dayton Industrial Fans - First Run in 10+ Years

I’ve recently won 3 Dayton 20” single speed fans in an online auction for $68. The auction description said these fans worked when taken down years ago. The fans came with brackets that hook onto a 2x4 piece of wood or rafters of a building. These brackets are original as the remaining paint on the brackets match the paint on the motor. Two of the fans are from 1987. The other is from 1988. In this video I test two of them. I tested the third one prior to these two off camera. These fans sat for years in a dirt floored machine shed. The cords (which are believed to be original) are dry-rotted but the inner insulation is still good. All of these fans work but unfortunately two of them are considerably out of balance. But I think $68 is a good deal. That’s $22.66 per fan.
