Welcome to another episode of Scrap Mechanic! Today I am attempting to recreate an essential mechanism used in watches, clocks, and even movie projectors. The Geneva Mechanism, or Geneva Drive, allows continuous motion to be converted into intermittent motion. Despite its crucial role in watchmaking, the original inventor of the mechanism seems to be unknown. It is simply credited to some obscure "Swiss watchmaker". The mechanism has some very precise construction elements that might be challenging to accomplish in Scrap Mechanic, but can it be done?
