In this episode, our dysfunctional band of tadpole misfits journey to the swamp, where we experience impeccable creepy bog vibes (very Southern Gothic!). We meet some redhats who teach us to "baa" (their sheepish legacy will live on!), we nag the hag into battle, and then we meet Mayrina - a young widow who really needs a grief therapist (and possibly couples counseling as well). The whole time I keep wondering if Ethel ever met Gladys (the hag from Weapons, the movie). Boy, do I think those ladies could swap magical recipes! This is my first, story-focused playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3, a narrative-rich roleplaying game full of heavy moral choices and complex companion dynamics. As a middle-aged mom with zero Dungeons & Dragons experience, I'm slowly piecing together how these characters handle grief, secrets, and the immense pressure of their world.
