If we lived alone in a hut, with no one speaking to us, meekness would almost be inherent to us; but remaining humble, not being arrogant when everything around us boosts our ego or lowers our self-esteem, is complex. We must learn who we are in the Lord to achieve the right balance; we must reconcile ourselves with who we are and esteem each other as superior to ourselves, because celebrating others always elevates us. Let us remember that God humbles man without degrading him and exalts him without magnifying him.
