What's Growing in My Tiny UK Garden in June? | UK Small Scale Food Self-Sufficiency

June in a small UK garden is always busy. In this week's vlog I'm catching up on a long list of jobs after a difficult mix of hot weather and wet weather that we have had that has left the garden, and the plants, a little confused about what’s going on. Today we are having a catch up, and we take a look at the greenhouse and the garden beds to show you what is growing, what needs attention, and what I am planning next. We check in on the tomatoes, the cucumbers, the courgettes, the chilli peppers, the leeks, the melons and more. I also talk about why I am growing so many heirloom varieties this year, and what that means for seed saving. And we take a quick look at the strawberry scrap vinegar, which has now finished its first stage ferment and is well on its way. This is what is happening in my small garden. The to-do list is always longer than the time in the day. But, as with all this small scale self-sufficiency, we begin where we are and grow from there. The full strawberry scrap vinegar recipe and process is on my website.
