An Exhaustive History of Pokemon Live! | The Official Pokémon Musical (Documentary)

In the year 2000, 4Kids Entertainment and Nintendo made the decision for Pokémon to make the jump into the theatrical arena with Pokémon Live! A sort-of answer to Broadway shows like Disney's The Lion King, this is the story of the long-forgotten official Pokémon musical, its creative team, cast, and the legacy they and the show has left behind. An Exhaustive History of Pokémon Live! is a feature-length documentary tracking the entire history of 4Kids and Nintendo's official stage musical of the Pokémon anime from it's inception all the way through to today. It's a wild odyssey dissecting the corporate musical structure, the innate absurdity of a Pokemon musical, the canon (or lack thereof) of the Pokémon universe, and the lasting legacy of this oddball, multi-million dollar, creatively ambitious production.
