The Synod of Bishops for the family closed at the end of October. Over 300 Cardinals, Bishops and specialists gathered to speak about everything family in the Catholic Church. The closing document mentions many elements of family life. One of them - in paragraph 76 - is the experience of families that have members with homosexual tendencies or same-sex attraction. Just before the synod, an international conference was held, high-ranking Vatican Cardinals Robert Sarah and George Pell present. The Courage international and Ignatius Press-led event had one aim: to make the voice of those who suggest a pastoral answer to people with this experience heard.
