Ultra Adelaide 100 Mile Ultramarathon 2026: The People Who Lift Us

The Ultra Adelaide 100 Mile Ultramarathon is more than a race through the Adelaide Hills. It is a journey through darkness, rain, exhaustion, injury and uncertainty—and a reminder of how much the people around us can help us keep moving forward. In July 2026, I returned to Ultra Adelaide for my second 100-mile ultramarathon. After completing my first 100 miler in 2025 in 32:14:03, I came back hoping to improve, carrying everything I had learned from the previous year. What followed was nearly 29 hours of trail running through some of the toughest conditions I have ever experienced. Heavy rain, hail, strong winds, thick fog, wrong turns, physical pain and moments of doubt all became part of the story. But this film isn't really about running 100 miles. It's about the volunteers who stood in the rain. The spectators who ran in to hold up broken marquee tents. The runners who encouraged one another when things became difficult. The support crews, friends, family and complete strangers who called out my name at exactly the moment I needed it most. It's about the people who lift us—and the people we have the opportunity to lift along the way. I finished the 2026 Ultra Adelaide 100 Mile Ultramarathon in 28:51:15, improving my 2025 time by more than three hours. But the finish time became one of the least important parts of the journey. This is the complete story of my Ultra Adelaide 100 Mile Ultramarathon—from saying goodbye to my family at the race village, boarding the bus to the midnight start line, running 100 miles and bonus kms through the Adelaide Hills, and finally returning to the finish line where the journey began. If you enjoy the film, I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Thank you for watching. Like, subscribe and hype the video. I respond to all comments and can't wait to hear what you think of the journey. Attempted to use the new GoPro complete mic kit (connected via Bluetooth) but this was unfortunately unreliable and frustrating to operate under race conditions (constant connection issues and interrupted workflow), so ditched the mic early on, after Mylor. #UltraAdelaide #Ultramarathon #TrailRunning #UltraRunning #100Mile #100Miler #Adelaide #SouthAustralia #Australia #EnduranceRunning #BigfootUltraRunning
