Orientation & Mobility (O&M) and congenital deafblindness webinar

People with deafblindness can benefit from the development of Orientation and Mobility (O&M) skills. Presenters Narelle Bredhauer is Head of Department, Orientation & Mobility for Statewide Vision Impairment Services, Department of Education Queensland. With over 30 years teaching experience in the field of Vision Impairment & Orientation and Mobility, Narelle is passionate about improving functional outcomes for students. She feels privileged to have worked with children who are blind and vision impaired from birth to 18 years including those with additional disability and deafblindness. She values the role parents play as the first teacher in their children’s lives and knows she has much much more to still learn. Clare works as Orientation and Mobility(O&M) Specialist at VisAbility in Perth WA, she also provides services in tour guiding, O&M and support when people visit Perth with her own business Yellow Brick Road Mobility. Clare has been working in community and schools for the last 20 years with children and adults who are d/deaf, d/Deafblind, blind or have low vison. This has seen her pounding the dynamic streets of London to kicking up the red dust in the Pilbara.
