How to Wash A Wool Coat (Without Ruining It)

You’re probably not thinking about your coat right now. I get it—it’s hot, it’s July, and you’re more worried about sunscreen than wool. But today is Christmas in July, and I’m here to tell you: this is the best time of year to wash your wool coats. In my latest video, I show you exactly how I wash my cashmere coat—and yes, this method works for all kinds of wool coats: peacoats, sport coats, overcoats—you name it. They dry twice as fast in summer, and once they’re clean and packed away, you don’t have to think about them again until it’s cold and you need to run out the door.
