Gannett Peak...The Hardest Peak in America?

Gannett Peak may be the hardest mountain to climb in America. My route to Gannett and Fremont Peaks was 50 miles and had 14,000 feet of elevation gain. The Wind River Range is a stunning, remote range in Wyoming that is one of the most beautiful places in the United States. There are large glaciers, crevasses, and a difficult final push to the summit of Gannett. Fremont is a bit more standard, but still requires a lengthy approach. Titcomb Basin is an amazing place to camp to access these awesome peaks.
