Geneva. At this years IAA it was remarkable to see the strong presence of the Chinese manufacturers, both car OEMs and the suppliers. I was also very impressed by CATL's battery technology and BYD's convincing display. It is game on for the established car manufacturers - in the end this will be good news for the consumer as the choice gets bigger, the technology better and prices lower. One of the highlights at IAA was the revamped Tesla Model 3, offering more product content, technology updates, design changes and very competitive pricing. Also great to see Opel, Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Mercedes gearing up their product launches. And disappointing that there was virtually no presence by the Japanese manufacturers.
