STUDIO PRAHA-RIO vol.2 is here! You guys encouraged me with your very positive reactions on my recording of Manha de Carnaval (thanks a lot!!) to finally record another piece od Brazilian music I was working on during the quarantene. But it was not easy to make it 😅 I managed to do it with only one mistake in the lyrics (well, the one I know about, maybe there are more). Portuguese-speakers will hopefully apologize that! 😉 Actually, it is a medley of 2 pieces from a great and legendary album Os Afro-Sambas by Baden Powell and Vinícius de Moraes: Tristeza e Solidão and Canto de Ossanha. It’s a wonderfull album and I highly recommend to listen to it! The first one (”Sadness and Lonliness”) was sometimes very apt to my mood in the isolation, I must say. It’s a song about an unhappy love. About begging the gods that the person you love would come back. Canto de Ossanha is a very mysterious song, talking about love and spiritual entities as well and about the healers. In Brazil there are many and sometimes they offer to help you from the pain of love... but if they invite you, não vai! - don’t go, because you will regret a lot.
