Grow Tomatoes in Pots | Seed to Harvest | Hand-Pollination

Learn how to grow tomatoes from seeds in pots using simple container gardening techniques. This is the first time I grew tomatoes. Although the growth was slow, and for a moment there I thought the plants won't give tomatoes at all. But when they came, they came in abundance! :D I had no idea the tomato leaves are so aromatic! They smell so pleasant and will leave their imprint on your hands after you've worked with them :) Detailed explanation on how to hand-pollinate tomato flowers -    • How to Hand-Pollinate Tomato Flowers?   Steps followed: Take out the seeds from a ripe tomato. Sow the seeds at about 3 to 4 inches deep. Water regularly. Tomato plants require high sunshine to grow so are optimal for growing in summers. If the sunlight or temperature gets low, the growth will be very slow. The seeds germinated within a week. After that, it took a long time to grow and reach flowering stage. After around week-6, the plants started to flower. At around week-9, the flowers started producing tiny tomatoes. After over a month, around week-14, ripe tomatoes were ready for harvest. I gradually kept on adding more soil every few weeks to make more room for roots to grow. I had mixed organic manure with potting soil. This makes the soil very fertile. No chemicals or fertilizer or special soil or any other add-ons were used.
