This year, we once again took the Hosono Line (Kurobishi Forest Road) (Kurobishi Line), which opened on July 1st, and climbed up to Kurobishi Parking Lot at an altitude of 1,500m to enjoy the view of the Northern Alps. This year, there is even less snow remaining than last year, and the Oyukikei route on Mt. Hakuba has been closed since early July due to its danger, but even so, it is still a spectacular view of the Northern Alps Hakuba Mountain Range. Kurobishi Parking Lot, which you can drive to, is 800m above sea level from JR Hakuba Station. Take a lift from Kurobishi Parking Lot to Kurobishidaira, where you can be soothed by the yellow of the day lilies, and then take another lift to Happoike Sanso, the entrance to the heavenly pond, Happoike. The elevation difference from JR Hakuba Station here is over 1,100m. Since I'm at an altitude of over 1,800m, the views of the Hakuba Mountains to the north, and Mount Goryu and Mount Kashimayari to the south are completely different from what you see from the base of the mountain.
