M1 CARBINE AMMO TEST: FMJ & SOFT POINT

Two ammo tests in one video with the military surplus .30 M1 Carbine. First, a 110 gr FMJ target load. Second, the Federal 110 gr Soft Point round nose, used for hunting and/or home defense. Test shots are at 25 yards. Velocities are chronographed for both loads. Test shots are using the SIM-TEST block, calibrated to replicate 10% ordinance gel. Video also includes brief 50 yd target session with the Federal load. Please understand that this technique is just a representation to indicate possible ballistics and is not intended to replicate real-world results. This M1 is a 1943 Inland produced by General Motors.
