MHL Adapters & HDMI Screen Mirroring Explained: Passive, Active, Samsung's 11-pin, DVI

As such, there is NO performance difference from the phone to the connected display. (Some people have asked if video playback is different on MHL than on the phone. It is IDENTICAL. The images are MIRRORED. If it plays smoothly on the phone, it will be smooth on the LCD/HDTV.) MHL outputs up to 1080p (through as of yet, no device have 1080p screens for mirroring) as well as full 7.1 channel surround sound.
