Water for Bees & Butterflies

I want to show you how to make a water area for Bees & Butterflies. This is a quick garden craft you can put together in about five minutes. Here is a list of supplies you will need. Supplies List: Water vessels (bird bath, saucer, pot etc) Gravel and decorative rocks Water I use rain water, but you can use tap water, just allow it to sit for a while to let the chlorine to evaporate. Next pick a spot where it can stay put. This helps the bees find it every time they’re in need. They will know that it’s a reliable resource & continue use. Next fill your vessel with the gravel and level out. This helps fill in the area so bees & butterflies don’t drown, but also keeps mosquitoes from breeding. Next add your decorative rock if you are using them. Next add your water. The water should not puddle to much above the rocks. It should barely just cover. You don’t want anything to accidentally drown, or mosquitoes to have enough area to breed. This five minuet garden craft will serve well in the garden season after season.
