EXO - Personal Escape System for firefighters - Petzl
Developed with the FDNY in 2005, in response to the tragic events of "Black Sunday," the Petzl EXO is the most tested, most carried, and most proven personal escape system on the market. Comprised of an updated anchor hook with hitching slot, a 7.5mm heat and cut resistant Technora rope, an EXO braking-assisted descender, a locking connector with captive bar, and a Nomex carrying bag that attaches to a firefighter's harness, the EXO offers a rapid means of escape from a burning structure when traditional exits are blocked. Today, over 40,000 firefighters from 300 different fire departments worldwide carry the system. For more information, visit petzl.com/EXO or email us at [email protected].
