She challenges participants to only use items in your pantry, freezers or wherever you store food, for the month of January. This challenge makes you aware of what you have and what needs to be used up before the new preservation year ahead. This is our first year participating in this challenge but we are up to it. Although we will try to avoid going to the grocery store at all, our tools allow us to purchase dairy, bread, and very few fresh veggies.
