According to the World Health Organization, WHO, between 2% and 5% of the world's population has high abilities or giftedness. In Brazil, however, this identification is still underreported. Data from the 2023 School Census indicate that only 38,000 children were officially recognized as gifted in the country, a number considered far below their real potential.
