Choosing the right filters for your respirator

Choosing the right filters for your respirator/gas mask. A look at the different types of filters available, Particulate (P) filters, NBC/CBRN filters and industrial ABEK filters. NBC/CBRN filters are not all equal so it is important to realise what some filters can and can't protect you from. ABEK is a good classification system as the label tells you what the filter can and cannot block. A = Organic Vapours B = Inorganic Vapours E = Acid Vapours K = Ammonia Vapours. I made a mistake in the video where I refereed to Acid Vapours as C on the ABEK system, please assume I am saying E for the video to make sense. If you want to find more details on a particular NBC/CBRN filter, most filter manufacturers offer a brochure on their website giving a list of what the filters can block. Some NBC/CBRN filters only offer ABE-P protection not the full ABEK-P3 protection. Support me on Patreon   / weaponsandstuff93   Please comment, rate and subscribe for more.
