J.Parkinson & Son 6" Milling Vise — Seized Solid | Can We Save It? Part 1

Picked this up from Charlie at Kenequip — a J.Parkinson & Son 6 inch milling vise, Sheffield made, and seized absolutely solid. This is Part 1 of the restoration attempt. First job was getting the jaws off. Then out came the blowtorch — proper gas cylinder job, got it good and hot. No movement. So it's now clamped vertical in the 1912 Parkinson Perfect carpenter's vise with the leadscrew cavity full of ATF and time doing the work. If it frees off, it's getting a full restoration. If it doesn't, we'll find out together. Three Parkinsons in the shop now.
