Hildasong - Horus Prince of the Sun AMV by Walt Scott (2003)

This is a fan-made music video that I created in 2003 with footage from the 1968 anime film Horus, Prince of the Sun (directed by Isao Takahata with animation from a young Hayao Miyazaki); the song I used is the from the end credits of Peter Jackson's The Two Towers. Like Tolkien's Smaegol/Gollum, the main character of Hilda in Prince of the Sun is conflicted between her light and dark side. Also, both Lord of the Rings and Prince of the Sun are based in part on Norse mythology. I made this video almost 14 years ago but I'm putting it on YouTube in honor of the English Blu-Ray release of this classic piece of animation. Enjoy!
