How does a pipe organ sound when not constrained by compression or "enhanced" by post-production? In the first episode of the Good Sound Matrix series, we present Johann Sebastian Bach’s monumental masterpiece — Pièce d'Orgue BWV 572. The performance features the outstanding musician, Michał Białko, at the console of the VER Frankfurter Orgelbau "Sauer" organ. This recording is a manifesto for natural sound. We have avoided any processes that destroy the dynamics and authenticity of the instrument.
