Madrid barrio a barrio: Cuatro Caminos, Ciudad Universitaria y Argüelles

You can also watch it at http://www.telemadrid.es/madridbarrio... We explore three modern and recently developed neighborhoods in Madrid: Cuatro Caminos, Ciudad Universitaria (University City), and Argüelles. The Cuatro Caminos roundabout represents modern 20th-century Madrid. It was the first point of entry for piped water, allowing access to running water in Madrid homes. Very close by, we'll visit Ciudad Universitaria, created in 1929 to modernize and consolidate different faculties and schools on the Moncloa Campus. And from the Faro de la Moncloa (Moncloa Lighthouse), we get a glimpse of one of the city's most modern neighborhoods: Argüelles. We stroll along Calle Rosales, past the Temple of Debod, and make sure to visit Calle de la Princesa, which connects Moncloa with Plaza de España.
