Moritz is a Silicon Valley venture Capitalist with Sequoia Capital. He's a guru of selecting internet and technology companies in which to invest. Some of his early insightful investments were Google, Yahoo, and PayPal. He currently sits on the boards of 24/7 Customer, Earth Networks, Gamefly, Green Dot, Klarna, Kayak.com, LinkedIn, Sugar Inc and The Melt. Welsh-born Moritz began his career as a journalist with Time. In 1984 he published The Little Kingdom: the Private Story of Apple Computer. After leaving Time, Moritz co-founded Technologic Partners, a technology newsletter and conference company. He joined Sequoia in 1986. This past September, he was listed #273 on Forbes' list of the wealthiest Americans. Moritz lives with his wife and two children in San Francisco. In addition to his interest in business, he is an avid reader and collector of books.
