Dads 1964 Troon Glasgow Hackney taxi outing cine film.
Dad was a taxi driver circa late 50's to mid 60's in and around the Glasgow area of Scotland, UK. Here is one of his films of the annual Troon taxi outing from 1964. Locations and information. Children from Murdock home. Taxis lined up outside Station Bar , Port Dundas Road, Cowcaddens, driving down Buchannan Street and around St. Enochs. Apologies for shaky hand held filming. Fenwick Moor road A77, a very windy and windswept sandy Troon, Dad having putting match with old pal Bobby Tavendale. Then Fancy dress parade and competition in town hall and home again. I hope you enjoy. It brings back a lot of happy memories for me.
