The coldest temperature here was -60 degrees Celsius. On the way from #Kargil to #Srinagar, I didn't just pass through like a typical tourist. I chose to “stop” at almost every village I passed. Small villages like #Karcheykhar, so quiet you can only hear the wind and the sounds of the local life. Old stone houses nestled amidst the mountains. Children run up to greet you without fear of strangers. Some just look… and smile. Every time I stopped the car, it wasn't just a rest stop. It was about entering “another world.” A simple world, yet incredibly meaningful. Some villages aren't on the map. No coffee shops, no check-in points. But they have something that big cities don't. I might just be someone passing through, but those short moments, made me stop and think all the way. For me, India… isn't just about famous places.
