Will It Make Wheels Day?! Twin Amals, manifold Trouble…

part 29 This week’s goal was simple: get the 1937 Austin/Crosley single-seater race car ready for its first outing of the year at NSRA Wheels Day. To make that happen, I needed to finish the twin Amal carburettor setup, build the throttle linkage, and finally get the engine running with them . The good news—it fires up. The bad news—it immediately races, and it turns out the inlet manifold has air leaks. I spend a good bit of time trying to track it down and fix it, but things don’t go to plan… In the end, Wheels Day arrives the car doesn’t make it, but i go anyway and thers a full turnout !
