Mini Documentário Gosto de memória: o café dos Bernardos

The traditional communities of the Rio Casca and Adjacencies Territories and the Rio Doce State Park and its Buffer Zone are true examples of cultural resistance. The mini-documentary “A Taste of Memory: The Coffee of the Bernardos” shows how the connection to the land can be built through ancestral teachings that continue to be passed down from generation to generation. The video was produced by ATI Cáritas Diocesana de Itabira together with the residents of the quilombola community of Grota dos Bernardos, in Raul Soares. It presents the sense of belonging these families have to their territory through the artisanal cultivation of coffee.
