DCS F-4E Phantom II APX-81 Combat Tree Tutorial! | The Game Changer Over Vietnam!

Oh man guys, I am so excited to finally be able to make a tutorial on the coolest and most interesting system to ever come to a DCS World Aircraft. I have been waiting for this system with bated breath since the release of the DCS F-4E Phantom II. Today, I am ecstatic to say, we are taking a look at the new AN/APX-81 Combat Tree system for Heatblur’s magnificent F-4E Phantom II. The importance of the Combat Tree system in the F-4D and E Phantom II in the wider context of the Cold War cannot be understated. The system could have been ripped straight from a James Bond Movie or Tom Clancy novel, incorporating everything from Intelligence Operations deep in the Soviet Union to exploitation of crashed, stolen or defecting Soviet Aircraft at Area 51 to massive deception campaigns rolled out across Europe and Southeast Asia. Combat Tree and its related systems helped to turn the tide in the fight against the MiGs over North Vietnam during the Linebacker Campaigns as the US Air Force and Navy took diverging approaches to their dismal performance against the NVAF, with the Air Force doubling down on technological might and the Navy pursuing training and tactics. This will be only a cursory tutorial on how to best use this fascinating piece of Cold War history in the pilot and WSO seat of your F-4E Phantom II, both with and without the Jester AI.
