The Bay of Fundy! - RVing in Nova Scotia

Welcome to the last of our 2024 Maritimes trip. In this video, we say a fond farewell to Cape Breton and its vibrant music scene, and we make our way back to the mainland after a month of island life. We kick off our adventure at the Cape Breton Causeway, witnessing the impressive swing bridge in action as sailboats navigate through. Our next stop is the awe-inspiring Bay of Fundy, home to the world's highest tides. At the interpretive center, we watch in amazement as the river reverses its flow and the tides rise dramatically. Despite some rain and chilly weather, we witness thrill-seekers rafting the tidal bores—what an adrenaline rush! The following day greets us with sunshine as we explore the ocean floor at Burntcoat Head Park during low tide. Walking among towering rock formations and through sea caves that will soon be submerged is an otherworldly experience. We delve into the science behind these massive tides and how they shape the environment around us. Our journey isn't without its hiccups—a sudden truck overheating issue tests our problem-solving skills. With some quick thinking and a bit of mechanical work, we're back on the road, albeit with frequent stops to keep things running smoothly. As our maritime adventure winds down, we reflect on the incredible sights, sounds, and people we've encountered. From the natural wonders of Nova Scotia to the warmth of its communities, this trip has been nothing short of spectacular. Thank you for joining us on this epic road trip!
