We (with my best helpers) picked up a used roof rack from a 2008-11 Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner at a local pick-your-part yard (PARTS GALORE) and mounted it on our truck bed cap (on 2007-13 GMC sierra/silverado) to carry our rooftop carrier, kayaks/paddleboards, ladder, or whatever adventure throws our way.
