How to Build and Operate a QRP Earth Moon Earth Radio Station
Would you like to build a low power Earth Moon Earth amateur radio station? The goal of this presentation is to give the amateur radio operator an idea of how to successfully build and operate a relatively low-cost, low power Earth-Moon-Earth radio station. This is done by describing, in detail, an updated version of the KC1HTT 2 meter, QRP EME amateur radio station. Included in this presentation is the hardware implementation (low noise preamplifier, transceiver, power amplifier and antenna) and internet links for software needed for EME planning and EME operations. An example of a confirmed EME QSO is shown, including QSO planning, safety considerations, and EME support web sites. This presentation was originally given at the March 2023 QSO Today Conference held in Los Angeles, California.
