Starting from the Freudian tradition and the reinterpretation proposed by Jacques Lacan, we address the fundamental pillars of psychoanalytic training: Personal analysis; Clinical supervision; Theoretical study; Clinical experience. I also present a little of my own journey in psychoanalysis and explain why the training of the analyst cannot be reduced to short courses or certificates. This course does not qualify anyone to practice psychoanalysis. Its objective is to present the fundamentals of Lacanian theory and guide those who wish to seriously explore the paths of ethical and clinical training.
