Nico Mirallegro & Mat Whitecross Interview — Spike Island

www.filmclub.org We were delighted to welcome director Mat Whitecross and actor Nico Mirallegro into the studio to talk about their new film, Spike Island, a coming-of-age story about a group of music-mad friends who attempt to break into a Stone Roses concert. The film is Nico Mirallegro's first feature, but is Mat Whitecross' follow up to the critically acclaimed and hugely entertaining Ian Dury biopic Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll. Whitecross has also dabbled in documentary with films such as Moving To Mars and The Road To Guantanamo, the latter of which was co-directed with Michael Winterbottom.
