Engine noise, clouds of dust, and the unmistakable smell of two-stroke engines: At the first Suuluddi-Rännä in Wahlwies, Vespas, scooters, mopeds, and motorbikes competed against each other on a specially constructed motocross track. What was originally planned as a massive mud bath quickly turned into a battle against dust and dry ground due to the summer temperatures. Tight corners, small jumps, and deep ruts demanded everything from the riders. The race was divided into four classes – from small mopeds to high-performance custom builds.
