Exploring an Abandoned mall

#abandoned #urbex Today, we're exploring an abandoned mall with awesome skylights. Construction of this mall was completed by 1996 as a replacement to an older dying mall. The anchors upon opening were Sears, Jcpenney, and Kmart. The mall had a relatively short lifespan compared to some other mall. The rise of Online shopping plus the fact that the mall sat in an relatively rural area is what drove this mall to closure in 2019. The mall was watched over for a time after, but this eventually stopped. Today, the mall sits vandalized and rotting away slowly. Some stuff can still be found inside the various stores. As for the anchors, the remains of an liquidation sale can be found inside. The Sears and Kmart were both pretty empty. The most impressive part of the mall is the skylights. I always prefer malls with plenty of natural light inside. As of time of upload, the building's power has been cut. The mall is slated to be demoed for a Walmart. Thanks for watching! I do not condone scrapping, vandalism, and arson. I just take photos/video and leave. I also do not condone breaking and entering into abandoned places. I entered in through an existing entryway.
