The cardigan is worked from the top down. Starting with the back yoke, worked back and forth in stockinette stich. Then picking up stiches for each shoulder separately. Back and front jokes are joined under the armholes to form the body, and then knitted back and forth. The sleeves are worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the armholes. The sleeves are worked in the round on circular needles or on double-pointed needles or using the Magic Loop technique. At the end, a neck rib edge is worked from stitches that are picked up and knitted along the front openings. For the brown Drops Alaska cardigan I used 9 skeins of yarn, and it weights 445 g. Measurments: Shoulderseam to shoulderseam: 63cm Ribbing at waist: 37cm Lenght (optional): 42cm For the purple Drops Karisma cardigan I used 8 skeins of yarn, and it weights 377 g. This one is knitted with slightly thinner arms than the brown, on knitting needles 4mm / 6 Us size. Quick description: Casting on 98 stiches for the back yoke. Decreasing from 184 to 132 to the ribbing at the bottom of the body. Picking up 50 stiches for the sleeves.
