Explaining Paint Additives From Flood: Floetrol, Penetrol and Emulsibond- Serving Warsaw, Indiana
In this video I explain how to use these 3 paint additives. Floetrol helps condition water base paint so that the paint is not so sticky. Painters call sticky paint “drag”. Floetrol also helps minimize brush marks and roller marks by slowing down the dry time of the paint. Penetrol does the same thing except Penetrol is used in oil base paints or oil base primers. Emulsi-bond is a bonding agent that helps solid water base stain or water base paints bond better. We use Emulsibond a lot in water base solid stains on decks and balconies. Emulsibond only needs to be used in the first coat only.
