I will demonstrate 2 different ways to fix this issue which should cover the variety of situations you could encounter depending on where the damage occurs. First, I will install a junction (handy) box and splice the wires with Wago 221 lever nuts in the newly installed box. Next, I will show how to install a TE Romex Splic Kit which is a great solution when the damage occurs in a wall cavity or another location you can't install a handy box.
