Philip Plein unveils menswear collection at Milan Men’s Fashion Week

SOUNDBITE (English) Philip Plein, fashion designer: ‘Yeah, we are preparing a summer collection, we are talking about Summer 2027 and we discovered that people are looking actually for color because most of the time you find only black or blue in the store, sometimes a touch of white. So as you can see we have a journey through our color palette, we start with orange, we continue with light blue, baby blue, we go to petrol, bordeau and then we go into the more, let’s say, rock’n roll part of the collection, which is the classic Plein. We go into black. And you can see we have a big part of sartorial in our collection, beautiful pieces, very well worked, lots of details, the lining inside, the Plein sign here, our logo, our branding. It’s a full look that we are presenting. We have the bags with contra stitching in orange, matching the sweater. But also the eyewear is important. By the way these are orange glasses, so you can see that, and also the matching footwear. Thank you, sir. So, it is really a journey through our world of Philip Plein from classic to rock 'n' roll, you know, altogether under one roof. You can see the distressed leather here, that’s a very special piece, or the distressed stitches here with all the vintage details, but also look at the lining, look at all these details in here, which makes it very special. Plein’s collection for next spring and summer branches off into suiting and tailoring along with the brand’s mainstay rock ‘n’ roll ethos of studded denim, sequined T-shirts and streetwear featuring loud skull motifs. The Milan-based German designer said when the collection came in, it looked so good that he decided to do a full menswear show with just over a week’s notice.
