PROBLEM 5.13 and 5.14 In this video, we will learn how to determine the reactions in beam supports by solving two exercises step by step. In each exercise, we will follow the following step by step: Step 1️⃣: build the free-body diagram (d.c.l.), that is, make a schematic drawing of the beam and all the loads acting on it. Remember to represent the reactions to be calculated according to the type of beam support (1st, 2nd and 3rd gender supports). Step 2️⃣: Identify the location of the resulting force generated by the distributed load acting on the beam as well as its intensity.
