Le Dassault Mirage III | La plus grande réussite française
Good day and welcome, this is Yataka speaking, and today we're talking about the quintessential French bestseller, the Dassault Mirage III. Sold in 21 countries, with 1,401 units produced (including the Mirage F1, F5, and F50)! In April 1953, the French government ordered 225 Mystère IVs from Dassault. The aircraft was powerful, reliable, robust, and maneuverable—a joy for French pilots. However, it could only reach Mach 1, and even then, with difficulty. The Mystère IV was also significantly heavier and more expensive than previous generation aircraft. While this wasn't necessarily a drawback, the increasing price and weight of these aircraft worried the military leadership. The decision was therefore made to study the development of a new, even more modern, cheaper, and lighter interceptor fighter. The technical specifications drawn up by the government focused primarily on the aircraft's maximum speed, Mach 1.3, and its rate of climb, 3.75 km per minute. Once again, Dassault clearly intends to push innovation to the next level. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Sources: http://www.clindailes.ch/expositions-... https://www.cairn.info/revue-histoire... https://www.museeairespace.fr/aller-p... https://www.dassault-aviation.com/fr/... https://www.avionlegendaires.net/avio... https://www.avionlegendaires.net/avio... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassaul... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassaul... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dassaul... https://www.avionslegendaires.net/avi... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aile_de... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Convair... https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loi_des...) - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Music Creators: Mauzer: / antonpanzer Utho Riley: / uthohd Pedro Camacho: / pedromca… Scott Buckley: / musicbyscottb scottbuckley.com.au/library "Vyra - Defense Matrix" is under a Creative Commons license.
